# What remains

`What remains` is Track 1 of the English album release `IN THE STATIC` by Dschafaa.

It is the entry point into the English panel of the diptych `IN THE STATIC | IM RAUSCHEN`.

## Role in the Album

The track begins with collapse: thoughts strike, the world shatters, direction disappears, and the self becomes uncertain.

What remains is not a clear answer. It is a nameless presence in the static.

`What remains` opens the album's central field: identity, perception, rupture, fear, inward vision, and the question of what still carries when the familiar self breaks apart.

## Relationship to the German Counterpart

The German counterpart is `Was bleibt`.

Both tracks share motif and position in the work, but they are not only translation variants. `Was bleibt` is the German, bodily and existential form; `What remains` is the English, clearer and more reflective form.
